Sonoma County Newborn & Child Photographer: Our next (exciting!) chapter….

“The purpose of life is to live it, to taste experience to the utmost, to reach out eagerly and without fear for newer and richer experience.”
― Eleanor Roosevelt

My husband and I both believe that life is an adventure.

We have talked for as long as I can remember about  “someday” moving someplace where the winters aren’t… well… Chicago-style. With our families and friends, as well as his job and my growing photography business here, it just never seemed *right*.

Until now.

We have recently been given an opportunity to take our family and move to the West Coast.
Sigh…. California. San Francisco area, to be exact.

As a girl, I always dreamed about living in California, driving to the beach, and living in sunshine.
(I even dressed up as Miss California for Halloween one year, sparkly sash and all!)

We had countless discussions about this big move, weighing every detail out, until ultimately, it came down to the fact that life IS an adventure. Things were just falling into place.

We made a trip out, to make sure it was right for us.
And I have to say that yes, it most definitely is.
We fell in love with everything about that part of this great country – the hills, the ocean, the forests, the towns, and the friendly people.

We can see ourselves raising our boys there. We’re ready for our next chapter, and we move in about 4 weeks!

The hard part (and with every new stage in life, there is always one) is leaving our family and friends.
Of course we will be back, but we know it’s going to be hard to say goodbye, even just for a little while.

I also am saying goodbye to some really amazing clients.
I have met some absolutely wonderful families, and love seeing how much their little ones change from one session to the next.
I love when a client I did a newborn session for sends me photos of their babies at 6 months just so I can see how much they’ve grown.

I love celebrating 1st and 2nd and 3rd birthdays with little ones I’ve known since their first week of life.
I feel a connection with these families, and I will definitely miss them!

I feel a huge “Thank You” is necessary, for all the families I have worked with and especially those who have been with me since the very beginning.

So, Thank you!!
